A Passion for Animals, A Plan for Change

This project began with a deeply personal experience that opened our eyes to a heartbreaking reality. After one of our founder’s beloved pets got loose and ended up in an overcrowded local shelter, we learned just how quickly animals can be euthanized—sometimes within just 24 hours—due to lack of space. That same day, over dinner with a friend, we heard about someone in another major city who had been waiting months to adopt a rescue animal. That contrast struck a nerve and sparked the question: why are so many animals being put to sleep in some areas, while others don’t have enough adoptable pets to meet demand? From that moment, we knew something had to change—and that technology could be the solution.  Driven by this urgent need, we launched The Bella Vita Project to build a smarter, more connected approach to animal rescue. Instead of focusing on one adoption at a time, we chose to think bigger: shifting large numbers of animals from overcrowded shelters to under-resourced ones with open arms and waiting families. We poured ourselves into researching the current systems, identifying the flaws, and creating tools that could make a real difference on a nationwide scale. Today, we’re proud to say we’re building technology that speaks for the animals who can’t—and giving shelters across the country the power to save more lives.
